If you know the Quranic Arabic, you would know that the word Qitaal is used for Armed Jihad (fighting) in Quran.

People who don’t know arabic would often mistakenly equate the word qitaal to the urdu word qatal derived from the same root. funny.

Qitaal is one form of jihad i.e., jihad bi-saif. and not every qitaal is jihaad
Jihaad is a very broad term and limiting its meaning to Qitaal is short-sightedness
