*-if you create a mess you are responsible to clean it
-we must eat dinner Mon-Fri and lunch on weekends together unless there is a genuine reason for not doing so.

bahot serious hogaye aap to ghar ke rules bataane me warna koi aisa sawal hai jiska aapne seriously jawab diya
§ bedtime no later than 9:30 p.m.
If you have any homework or other important to-do things, you are welcome to get up as early as 3 a.m. (I’ll be at your service to wake you up) but bed time can not be changed!
I know it sounds cruel to many in this day and age but you know its been a blessing for me and my kids…
§ Dinner time no later than 7 pm…it usually keeps moving between 6-7 depending on Isha congregation time at the mosque in our area …but no later than 7:00
All meal times are a family time…we eat together, Alhamdulillah
Everyone is to pray at jamaat time…when boys head to mosque, my daughter and i say our prayers at that time…no delays, please!
Dinner is always together at the table at my parent's house too.
No shoes in the house and chappal for the kitchen/bathroom only.
Hmm.. ever since we were small it was make your own beds and iron your own clothes. So clothes are washed, dried and put away and you iron them before you wear them. So every evening everyone would be iron their clothes for the next morning. And on the weekend it would be one person's job to iron enough shirts for our dad for for the week.
even in summer? i assume the sun sets after 9 pm in 'Deutschland'...before 'Ishaa prayers even? i'm a bit confused!...why so early to bed?
We moved to Pakistan around 3 years ago :)
In summers the last thing we do before going to bed is Isha....
n when we visit my hubby in EU, there too we go to bed after maghrib n wake up again after midnight to pray isha n fajar as there's not much time between the two ...:)

**oh i see...now, that makes sense.
in EU, waking up in the middle of night to offer Isha prayer isn't a hard thing to do? it's an interesting alternative...you guys, i guess, must be healthy, wealthy and wise because "early to bed and early to rise makes you that" :)**
well, it is a bit hard but better than staying up for too long and risking missing fajar…
hehe…not sure about healthy wealthy n wise though as this rule is not really quite old…strictly applies to bacha party…us adults can skip it if necessary…:carebear:
Despite my wish to follow this routine, I often end up having 3-5 hours of sleep in a day… I’m however working on it
