Re: What is your fear
Misleading title?
Re: What is your fear
yeeah .. what is with the title you desi peasant !
Re: What is your fear
It's not so simple as saying that it's due to a fear. People consider things like jobs, resources, environment, culture, etc....when making decisions about where they want to live. I don't feel comfortable with the idea of being far removed from civilzation/resources or being in a place with a limited variety of resources. Now if your thread is referring to the fear of living in a small town/area....hence the above response. But if your thread is about fears/phobias in general....then there are so many possibilities. Make the title/original post more specific/clear.
Re: What is your fear
I live in a small town and enjoy it. I have lived in big cities too and did not have any qualms about it either. But if given a choice I will prefer a small town living.

this not life one.. speak for your self only… so your concerns are “jobs, resources, environment, culture”
BTW you find more culture in smaller places.
Re: What is your fear
Maybe more of a particular culture in a smaller place....and not as much variety (which is a possibility)...and lack of privacy can be another issue where everyone knows everyone.

Re: What is your fear
Benefits of living in an urban city as opposed to in a small town/rural village. Drawbacks of urbanisation.
Monk has his own way of saying things! ![]()

Sir yes sir!
I lived in a quiet little town in Ireland before moving to this so-called stab city! I loved the town, it was beautiful, quiet and peaceful, there was a sense of unity in the community. However, it wasn't so good in terms of resources. There was no college, no university there, we ended up shifting to this city for all our higher education needs. There were no industries there, it was all farm land, so it would've been very difficult to find a job. At least there was a proper shopping centre in the small town I lived in, you won't even find that in a rural village! You can live in isolation but you'll have to commute to nearby towns and cities to access most of the resources.
Yeah urbanisation has lead to pollution, global warming, cutting down trees, damaging human and animal health etc but can we really survive without it?
