what is your April challenge/s?

for me the biggest challenge is not to binge eat.

so in order of importance it would be

not binge eat
avoid added sugar (including honey)
weigh myself once a week (not several times a day)

what are yours?

  • Eat toasted bread with peanut butter (topped with banana) guilt free
    • Get toned & lose weight
    • Stay focus on doing Insanity
    • Learn Wordpress (platform = nerd) haha

  • Be active, go to gym more than 4 times a week.
    -More liquid ,less solids since I have to sit and do 4 uni assignments ,they are due in mid April.
    -1 banana and 2 cups of semi skimmed milk everyday since I got vitamin D deficiency plus we are missing the sun.
    -Add more boiled veg in my meal n eat green.
    -Check my weight every weekend as Hammna mentioned.

To get back into going to the gym everyday and drinking lots of water.
atm, i only drink like a glass and a half :-(

i know it’s terrible. I take a bottle of water to gym, but only have like 200ml while at the gym. Another stupid thing i do is fill a glass with ice and put OJ in it.. so little bit of juice but turns out into a lot of liquid. i have green tea about twice a day, and a glass of metamucil too. But overall, plain water is harder to swallow.

i just installed the myfitnesspal app as someone had mentioned in another thread. Pretty good so far

stay under 1450cals for the entire month.

I've been good with calories, i've been able to stick to 1200 a day, most days i can stay at 900

I have been having an awful time. Am ill with a very nasty bug :( so far been staying away from the scales and sugar

That is very few calories. Have you calculated your BMR.?

hmmm whats BMR (sorry for my ignorance). That number is according to myfitnesspal, so I could be wrong.
But i have plenty of "reserves" lol so i don't get any weakness, and i eat healthy

This is a link to the myfitnesspal calculator of BMR and there are more about if you google them.
its the minimum calories your body needs for basic function.

Despite my BMR calculation coming out to be 1500 myfitnesspal wants me to eat only 1350 cals a day. You can customise your goals on mfp.

If you go to the community section of myfitnesspal you can get a lot of info about it. This is an oft recommended thread on the forum

although I haven’t dared to go as high as they suggest as I am still in the eat less mode but that hasn’t worked for me in all the yo yo years of dieting and am trying to up my cals slowly.
