That's because there isn't much for guys to reveal.
why not? guys can showcase the well developed pecs, shoulders and arms if they want, what about a six pack?
Plus with our religious definitions of revealing, technically, guys reveal way more than they need to - what with shorts above their knees and walking around topless all the time.
the place where you would find guys runnign around sans shirts, u would find girls in gstrings and bikini tops too, or shorts and atheletic tops.
but lets look at other situations as well..
desi weddings for example
guys are in what, suits, or kurta shalwars,
I have not seen a single desi guy in a half sleeve kurta yet, let alone a plunging neckline sleeve less kurta with a spaghetti strap around neck..
nor do we see guys with see thru sleeves or midrif (or more aptly toond) baring tops.
These things are way more socially acceptable than plunging cleavage (as illustrated by SouthWest Airline recently), and they're no more acceptable in our mazhab.
depends on what context, if youi are speaking in a western context than shorts are acceptable for girls as much as they are acceptable for guys.
and in a desi sense if you have a concern with guys baring 4-5 inches of flesh of knee andabove, then it is more than outweighed by the arms, on display by the ladies. or for that matter the tight clothes.
Or does Islam only come into play when it comes to the female anatomy?
nope, look at it in a desi context with islam as a factor
or in a non desi context without islam as a factor
women wear more revealing clothes then men in general.

victoriassecret and all places would not be selling enhancers, bustiers, padded stuff if it was truly out of fashion.

whats wrong with the topic, he is noting a very common observation. its not just him, read up magazines, even women's groups who are against this over exposure and sensualtization.
honestly speaking, if my daugter was a teen with g string showing, tramp stamp baring low riser with some midrif baring, too tight, see thru top with a plunging neckline..she would be in a world of trouble.
that is just not classy at all.

as I stated, fashion has zero to do with men’s preferences.
i dunno of any guys who are interested in stick figures.
the reality of what men may like is more evident in major stars (no not the ones that women like…its not alwats a match)

and there are women dont have errr bigguns as al bundy would say..who buy enhancing products and then put their wares on display. or those who get surgeries done..and then go for display.
so whether enhanced or natural, its a whole diff issue, but it takes us back to tariq's initial post abotu why women want to put it all on display?
