I want to know what is star anise called in urdu, see the picture below:

Start anise is a herb which is used in foods.

I doubt I will be able to get it by this name in Pakistan.

It's also called badian- ke phool

*Please don't quote me on anything else, I also thought bagla was armpit. But this i'm pretty sure of because we add it to our doodh-patti chai.

I went to a store and found this herb there. It didn’t have name printed on it so I asked a salesman and he said a name ending with ‘khatai’ (i forgot the complete name :smack:)

I am trying to make a tea called ‘masalay wali chai’ (a term I have read many times on this forum)

Exactly, Badia Khatai is the name that was told by the store salesman. He said it is used in Qawa so that confirmed to me this was what I was looking for.

Maybe, but I'm gonna add it to normal chai.

It is easily available in at least in Karachi. But people call it saunf ka phool there.

I use it to make labanese spice mixture that I use for marinades etc.
