If I wanted to ask someone to have something like this made for me in Pakistan, how should I describe the outfit? I will also send the image, but I want to know what the correct vocabulary is.

well i cant really tell if its one leg or two
but if its 2- i guess it'd be a fitted gharara
if its one leg- then it's a fitted rajistani gharara

Nope its not two leg, its one
its just fitted from the top and lose from the bottom similar to mermaid style but with two materials. If you show this picture to the people you want to get it stitched from they'll understand (Hopefully) when i went to Pakistan and showed people the pictures they made exactly the same stuff i wanted..

Anyway, my other concern is that if I'm not there to give measurements, is it worth getting this made. Will it work with an estimate?

Clothes like these dont look good if you dont give your exact measurements - the top is fitted and so it the above part of the skirt i would recommend that you go for the measurements - if it was the normal ghagra it would have been fine ... you would want to waste your money for something that looks even a little awkward would you now? you never know what if the guy/ woman wants to measure your wast and the length till this is fitted and the hip area? so that it isnt to tight or lose...you can just get your self measured where ever you are and then send those measurements to the tailor..but then again all tailors have their own ways of measuring and writing the measurements. my darzi ruined my capris when i gave him the size some other darzi had taken..

^ i agree.
unless you have a naap of the exact same thing or the darzi has up to date measurements for you, i'd say wait until you can get measured in person. each darzi seems to have a different way of interpreting measurements.
an alternative though, could be going to a darzi wherever you are and having them measure you after seeing the pic cos then they'd note the important bits. then you could send the pic with the measurements for each area marked on it and possibly it might be easier for a pakistani darzi to interpret them and make the outfit for you.

Its a tang gharara, honestly its not a sharara, look at the gota right above the knee, its two paincha not One paincha and its called a fitted gharara.
AND its not a Rajistani because Rajistani always has Banarsi on the top, this one just has a shimmery material.
You will need to give exact measurments for this otherwise it wont sit properly and you wont like it.
Esp the fitting right above your knee cause the way it is, The two painchas are fitted till the knee and then flare up into two ghers which makes it look good.

Strange. It looks very much one paincha to me. I would say its a fitted sharara. I think it'll look better with a single skirt anyway and sahar you should be able to carry it off pretty well with ur slender figure :D

. Considering the length of vinnies top I am not sure if anyone wears such short blouses with fitted ghararas. Anyhow Sahar even though you are 5’2" your slender too so you’ll look cute in it. Go for the one legged one though and make sure you wear huge heels underneath it. That will give you added length to the lower part of your legs. Even if you look at iman’s picture closely you can clearly tell that she is standing on something, wearing very high heels should have a similar effect. with that pattee well above the knees and length added to the bottom half due to heels I think you will look good.

Both of them are basically the same style gararas...actually if you are short then go for a short blouse because it will give you more length and short blouse with gararas is the fashion of 70s which is now coming back. I remember my mom's wedding garara's were with short length blouses.
