Sometimes I wonder what is wrong with Muslim values, do they suffer from mental imbalances or are muslims (of today) in general just plain barbaric. Mukhtaran Mai’s brother was also raped but failed to make the headlines or get any justice, now read the story given below and judge for yourself.
This is not just a case of rape or sodomy, the poor girl in question was 12years old when she was married to a 62year old who had previously wed five times. At the tender age of 15 she has two children, for Godsake, this bast@ard did’nt even wait for her to reach a certain age. Then to top it all off, he rapes the younger brother. When she was married the “younger” brother was sent along to give her company, so he must have been not more than eleven?
Punishment of 3years imprisonment and 2,000 lashes? WTF is that? He should be hanged from his kahoonas in public…just like the way they treat poor Pakis/Afghans caught smuggling drugs.
To make life easier for the poor girl and her family, she was asked to return her dowry (SR10,000)…does any of this make sense…I feel sick…

JEDDAH — A man has been sentenced to three years in prison and 2,000 lashes for raping his wife’s brother, according to a report in the Arabic daily Okaz.
**The daily reported recently that the woman filed a case against her husband seeking separation. The court agreed, asking her to return the SR10,000 dowry money. **The woman was received by the first-ever social protection home in south Jeddah with her two children. Her situation was the first case of family violence to be monitored by the National Human Rights Commission, in coordination with the Social Affairs authorities.
Fifteen-year-old Munirah (a pseudonym), a Saudi national, was forced to marry him when she was only 12 years old because of difficult family circumstances. After her father’s death, a distant relation to her late father asked for Munirah’s hand in marriage. The family accepted on the condition that Munirah’s younger brother accompany the couple. The man, who was 50 years older than his bride, initially seemed eager to help Munirah’s family out of a difficult situation, but on her wedding night she was shocked to discover that she was his sixth wife.
Over time, Munirah’s younger brother seemed to be experiencing difficulties also. He would leave the house as often as possible, only to return to weep in his sister’s arms. At first Munirah thought he was crying over her situation, but she later discovered the truth. Her husband had been raping her younger brother. A medical check-up proved the boy’s accusations were true. By that time, Munirah had delivered her second child and pressed charges against her husband.
Munirah’s mother has joined her daughter in a charitable shelter where Munirah is taking night classes and working at a beauty parlour on a salary of SR400 per month. Soon Munirah’s mother will leave the country and Munirah will be in charge of her small family. Munirah will be moving to a social protection home that is closer to her school. Not much help has been given to her brother, who is in desperate need of psychological support.
