Isnt there a chain of command that already exists in Pakistan? If and when the NA is dissolved and PM resigns, the president will still exist, wont he? President will be expected to create national consensus, perhaps call an APC, and form a caretaker govt, which takes care of things from there, like reforming the EC, holding elections etc. The Senate will have to be involved as well, because our current president is as good as non-existent.

But amendments/ordinances can always be made to accommodate that. Happens all the time. Difficult times call for difficult measures. Anything that prevents martial rule. I dont agree with the notion of resigning from the assemblies, and I still hope that PTI leaders will hold on to their resignations and not submit them, because in that case, not only will that fracture the party, it will also reduce their leverage. But to say that there is no roadmap that exists should the govt fall is unrealistic.

In the absence of a PM and assembly who will formulate the amendments and ordinances?
The interim PM will be named by leaders of the house and leader of the opposition.. remember. The President can not issue ordinances without the recommendation of the PM.. on his own. What happens the corrupt leader of the house and leader of the opposition name an other corrupt interim PM.. you can't trust them.. Can you?

That's the law. Without any electoral reforms they may rig the elections again and we will be storming the red zone again after 6 months.

Obviously saint Imran doesn't want to do anything illegal through military intervention. He said that himself and I would like to trust that..

If we don't know he is a saint then why are we following him to this extent? Just because he was able to gather a few thousand people in the capital.

Brother here is road map, that Imran Khan would not give, it would be given by Thug Nawaz.
Nawaz would confront Imran and in process army would come. Army would rule for 6 months then it would be they who would set-up interim government, impartial election commission, and all election reforms.
I know, army takeover is risk, as that 6 months could become 12 years ... this time it could be even 60 years ... but life is risk and this risk would be not from Imran Khan, it would be government who is taking that risk (and maybe Imran knows). This risk is always there, and wait for right situations for accident to happen.

Though I still believe that there is a way around anything and everything (senate can step in to authorize ordinances), I hope that a resolution will be reached through the current parliament. It will (and should) take a huge tangible offering from the govt to placate PTI (and PAT). That may include immediate and massive electoral reforms by a totally non-aligned group of technocrats, with simultaneous vote audit conducted in as many seats as possible.
It is PMLN's immaturity and dilly-dallying that has brought the situation to this point, and they have to take responsibility, and admit failure...combined with tangible steps. And it is my core belief that PTI leadership has something very similar in mind in their current aggressive approach i-e, to force the govt into taking immediate tangible steps. We have already seen a few (which are not enough). Anything else doesnt add up.
So finally you want to break the law to get your political objectives. Please ask PTI to declare this officially.
