I was reading on arranged marriages and ppl are like they work because romantic love isn't important for a marriage to succeed. So what is important? Or what's the point? If you aren't marrying for love, what are you marrying for?
Regardless of love or arrange, you marry in order to have a social life of late 20s and on wards.

Why does society have to make marriage socially acceptable when it's such a huge risk. Two people of the same religion and same culture could totally destroy each other. The lucky ones last or find someone that values the bond just as much to make it work. The others would eventually pick one of those not so socially, or religiously, parent acceptable ways to feel happiness..eventually.

For a guy, don't marry until you're stable
For a girl, don't marry until you're sure the guy can balance responsibilities of his wife and parents/ siblings

People fall in love; people fall out of love. Marriage is more about stability and permanence ( read kids, family, companionship etc). Then why would you base it on something as ephemeral as love?

this is sad but true that there's nothing in the minds of people . they just do things for the sake of doing things.

The stability men look for is 'securing' a partner for themselves. Someone they can be intimate with physically and emotionally.
Marriage provides men with that stability.

A marriage like that is just so sad. It shouldn't be solely based on love but it must exist or develop or else how can you develop companionship. They would be more like roommates than companions. How can you have sex with someone you don't love.
