Re: What is the philosophy behind your religion/sect
Born into a Deobandi/Barelvi-Hanafi-Sunni Muslim family.
Now I consider myself just a Muslim, plain simple Muslim.
I'm a freelance Muslim, don't associate myself to any of the sects.
My main Scripture and source of guidance is the Qur'aan.
My secondary source is the Sunnah in the form of the Sihah Sittah Ahadith (Six Collections of Narration), so I guess I'll get classifed as Sunni by many because the latter are traditionally a Sunni source and rejected by the Shi'ah.
Waj'alna lil Muttaqeena imama - And give us (the grace) to lead the righteous.
Yes you are right ... It is an even higher state than what I stated ... to lead the muttaqun ... so coming back to my original point ...
We must call those Muslims who call themselves Muslim and not accuse them of hypocrisy.
We must not call those Muslims who do not call themselves Muslims but we cannot judge what is in their hearts and hence cannot condemn them in any way.
That there is no logic about the importance of states of being and that being a Muslim is enough, but to strive for being leaders of the muttaqun is best.
That the names of the Surahs have no basis for what is or is not important according to our beliefs.
