Thanks Syah and Aqeel brother.

I wanted a start a sect, but I have found that there is no official way to start a sect, or even a cast. These things were created before I was born, and we are stuck with it. Plus, if I am able to create a sect, that no one joined, it will not likely be considered as a sect, by existing sects.
[/quote]
lol, i feel that way too sometimes but there is no need to start a new sect infact forming sects in islam is haram
there is however difference in opinion which is tolerated on a number of issues which do not effect the CORE beliefs
most points of differences amongst shias[12ers ] and sunnis [e.g opinion of sahaba , intra-sahaba conflicts, wives of prophet etc ] are not about CORE beliefs with the exception of nature of imamate [esp the divine designation of imams and their succession]
you shud read about imamiyah to ithna ashari transition from works of etan kohlberg and wilfred madelung , 2 relatively unbiased orientalists
the important principal to keep in mind is to shun Bidah and follow sunnah to the best of our ability
Re: What is the philosophy behind your religion/sect
what does SAW & SWT stand for?
Agreed 100%.
Das Reich,
Is this the Etan Kohlberg book you’re talking about?
Shi’ism, Vol. 33, The Formation of the Classical Islamic World, Etan Kohlberg, Book - Barnes & Noble
Re: What is the philosophy behind your religion/sect
^ i have never seen this compilation, i usually get his articles by begging or bullying college students who have JSTOR access
there is also a another compilation of articles i have on shiism which contain some of his articles
hey dont call me Das man ,it sounds hindu ... its "das reich " or DR

LOL, cool, I fixed my previous post.
Re: What is the philosophy behind your religion/sect
^ thanks
Agreed 100%.
yes but this is recognized by sunnis as well .....
reember imam ibn hanbal's famous quote by his son
the staunch defence of ummayyads by syrian ulemas notably ibn taymiyah is much later development

There is a blatant explanation to your assertions that you seem to be disregarding. In order for someone to be CONSIDERED a Muslim they must call themselves Muslim, anyone who does not is not CONSIDERED a Muslim. However, if it should be the case that those people who say they are Muslim are really not and should it be the case that those who feel they are Muslims but say it not, then their TRUE judgement is with Allah(SWT) ...
Muslims can only go by the evidence at hand and we cannot see into the hearts of people and so must operate in accordance with how they wish to be known, putting our feeling to a side.
That is the position that Muslims should hold.

Peace psyah Ji.................it boils down to the question....about our attitudes............
are we exclusive? or are we inclusive?

Exactly. Allah does not really give much importance to those who call themselves Muslims. That's why there is no Surah Muslimeen in the Quran.
But there is Surah Mominoon for Believers, Surah Kafiroon for Infidels and Surah Munafiqoon for Hypocrites.
Which one do you strive to be? It's not good enough to be merely a Muslim.

The names of the Surahs are made by people and according to what you have said that there is more importance to kaafiroon and munafiqoon than to Muslims. I don't follow your logic and that is exactly what you have used in your deduction, I am sorry to say.
The highest stature spoken of in the Qur'an is that of the Muttaqun, but there is no Surah of that name.
Allah(SWT) tells us that the smallest of good deeds will be taken in to account as with the smallest of bad deeds.
According to the Qur'an towards the end of Surah Al-Furqan we should not just strive to be Mu'min but pray that Allah(SWT) bestows on us the grace of being leaders of the Mu'minoon.

Allah(SWT) sent Muhammad (SAW) as a mercy to MANKIND ... I think this answers your question.

Cant agree more with you, we do know Yazeed was muslim... but munfiqs are muslims too ..... Now on the same base ? how can someone say, Hazrat Abu Talib A.s was not muslim ?

Yazid was Muslim, but we don't know if he was munafiq, he could have been heavily misled, either by his understanding or by the people around him.
Abu Talib never claimed to be Muslim, but he could have become one at the point of death, but still did nothing to utter the words. According to the Sunni view a verse was revealed stopping Muhammad (SAW) from praying for Abu Talib, according to the Shia view the historical timing of the verse seemingly indicates that it could not have been revealed regarding Abu Talib.
Now whether Abu Talib is in Jannah or not or whether Yazid is in Jahanum or not this is a matter for Allah(SWT). Their conditions do not affect my position as a Muslim.

I agree with Syah brother on last paragraph. Why worry about who was wrong and who was right. They will get their reward according to their deeds.
Just worry about our ownself. Learn and teach other the true and right Islam.
Its Allah work to do what to do with those. Allah knows best. We can only assume.

I agree totally with this part ....
but the way u find excuses for yazid makes me sick to be totally honest ...in this way no tyrant no matter how bad or ruthless cannot be condemned as no one knows for sure whats in their heart
i dont blame u totally either as ur generation have been raised with the thinking that any condemnation of ummayyads makes u sound like a shia so thats why u are so cautious
