Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
I understood your point but saying how easy it was to overshadow him was just uncalled for. For the record, I do not agree with his stance of calling you a crazy feminist either.

Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
Meh. Favoritism for men has existed for centuries…in fact its still the norm in Pakistan as its a male dominated society. So what? What do women do to overcome it? We are pressured to work harder. Hence the double roles women play now…co-breadwinners and wives/mothers. Why should it be any different for a man?
The thing is…I am not a coddler. I don’t do any coddling for anyone…not for women either.
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
There is a difference between being stern and putting down someone personally. Don’t mix the two here. Actually you trying to show him how easy it was to overshadow him didn’t even work so never mind.
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
Thanks for sharing this. Not surprised at all.
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
Yeah, I understand its not everyone’s cup of tea. If he is going to use the word “feminist” as an insult then he should be able to deal with a little bit of backlash.
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
Such skewness exists in most parts of the world, including in the US. Despite our personal biases, each case needs to be evaluated on its own merit because men could be wronged as well, even in Pakistan.
I remember around 25 years ago there was a mental health survey done, sponsored by Anwar Maqsood, Fatima Surayya Bajia and Haseena Moin in Karachi and they found out that men were silently suffering from stress in far larger numbers than women. They also found that women had far more avenues to vent as compared to men. The team wanted to do similar survey in other large cities but they didn’t found sponsors as headline grabbing results weren’t expected in other large cities as well.

@Reha
I am a man, and I am a feminist. And I find your posts very disturbing, exactly the kind of militant feminism manifestations that give a bad name to the whole cause.
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
Perhaps 60 odd years back, women were largely underprivileged and their rights were often stepped over by men in many parts of the world, including the West.
Feminism started on a good note i.e. empower the women, however, somewhere down the road it got off the track. Fighting for women’s rights does not and should not mean that men’s rights shall be stepped over. What we have now (esp. in the West) is a very biased set of laws governing divorce, family rights, division of wealth and sexual harassment.
It has gone overboard, and I only blame men who let it happen in all walks of life.
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
@Reha sweetheart, every society or country is male dominated, more or less.
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
Hmmm…they’re disturbing because they don’t adhere to your mindset. Anything a man doesn’t agree with is militant feminism. Be it right or wrong. What I said actually has zero to do with feminism but it was still brought up because if a man doesn’t agree with a woman, she is a feminist. Oh and now a militant feminist. Is there a uniform?
Do you think when people post their views, they are looking for validation? They are not.
Yes, well…telling a man to work harder, change or do something he is not used to doing has got to be overstepping a man’s rights.
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
I mean theek hai, women can eat at the same table now, vote and go to school so they can raise their own kids for whom they don’t receive child support after marriage lekin ye kya? Ab har mamlay mein bolengi? Ye kahan ka feminism hai?
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
@waleedhbk
Next time you have an issue with her, tell her, I have no intention to make you cry, I may be wrong but I have to say this, bcoz that’s how I feel. Then apologize and say, I am sorry if you don’t agree.
Do this again and again, within a few weeks time and she will know that tactic is not going to work again.
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
I have worked with females all my life, our division head is a female and recently they divided the teams in two and I ended up on Carlins team and not on Morris’s and Carlin does not put on a huge show or expands too much energy going on power trips or getting combative or rude. She just gets the frigging job done. Stuff that I had begged for, for years to no avail, she did it in weeks.
I never ever had a problem with a female coworker or even female bosses, I feel they are hard working, conscientious and dont bring huge egos that conflict with corporate goals.
Thankfully to feminists our sisters, mothers, daughters and wives have more rights. IRL also I sell more houses to single females than to single males, many guys go on to feed their fragile egos by buying 80k trucks, blowing monies in club etc whereas women are more responsible with finances, have the down payment and good credit.
Also arguing at work is totally irresponsible.
I completely agree with @Reha that people should put the big boys pants on. The first thing an adult has to learn is that life is not fair and if one does not know that then they need to grow up.
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
Also the Harvey Weinstein saga and the fallout and ensuing me too campaign is proof positive that there needs to be a lot more work done to achieve gender equality. All the stats are there about the dead beat fathers who abandon their children and wont pay for their needs and the child and spousal abuse.. look at how the laws are now so unfair. Yeah keeping a man who beats the crap out of his children or has been proven to be an unfit parent is so unfair. If anything I feel the laws should be stricter on dead beat and abusive parents
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
putting up with crazy women is the hardest thing men have to do…and not being able to smash their heads ..
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
Sharing their emotions
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
Astaghfirullah. What kind of question is that. Hard being a man is so natural.
What becomes harder is actually when you are at work in this condition. Ask Ron Burgundy from the anchorman
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
hmm things have changed since I last logged in..
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
Waleed. dude..
Hardest (non tragic thing (allah sab ko apni panah mee rakhy))
So the hardest things in man’s life comes from his wife.
So dude you haven’t see it yet.
Dude that’s why men die early… its defense mechanism against their wives.
Re: What is the hardest thing about being a man?
Unmarried men die sooner than married men.
I thank her every day for saving me and for giving me the family.
