gup shup is mostly fun and pleasure.
on the other hand spreading rumours can lead us to "jahanum"

good question...i believe gupshup is basically a respite from a long or boring or stressful day, to just chill out with some chit chat based on mutual interests. basically what this forum is meant for.
i like the element of discussion in gupshup rather then indulge in a mindless gossip session because intentionally or unintentionally when we indulge in a 'harmless' piece of gossip, it ends up hurting or offending someone on a personal level. basically gossip has a very negative connotation for a reason...it happens behind that person's back, even our religion has prohibited us from it, for a reason...it will always lead to chaos because you are believing in hearsay and rumours.
its better to have an exchange based on ones own personal points of view and personal life rather than depending on a third person's life to provide us with that respite or entertainment. a good discussion will help you make up your own mind about people, instead of relying on others opinions (i.e gossip) to cloud your judgement.
Gupshup if u break it down..I blv "gup" means false?

there is nothnig wrong with gupshup, but peeps need to get their facts straight first, i cant stand peeps who tlk rubbish an make up lies to make a story more interesting....
and spreading rumours is all wrong. it's back bitting and Haram....
no one should have a laugh on the expense of someone else......
