Aal is a word with a very vast meaning. Followers of Firoun are also addressed as Aal Firoun in the Quran. However, Aal e Ibraim and Aal e Mohammad are none but the chosen, purified members of the family of the Prophets whom you are ordered to send blessings. To follow them is the straight path to Allah (swt). They are the Prophets and the Imams and were bestowed with divine favors and knowledge:
وَكَذَلِكَ يَجْتَبِيكَ رَبُّكَ وَيُعَلِّمُكَ مِن تَأْوِيلِ الأَحَادِيثِ وَيُتِمُّ نِعْمَتَهُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَى آلِ يَعْقُوبَ كَمَا أَتَمَّهَا عَلَى أَبَوَيْكَ مِن قَبْلُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحَقَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ
[12:6] And thus will your Lord choose you and teach you the interpretation of sayings and make His favor complete to you and to the children of Yaqoub, as He made it complete before to your fathers, Ibrahim and Ishaq; surely your Lord is Knowing, Wise
Admittedly, I have contributed more than my share in this topic and seem to be repeating myself here (so much so that I have surpassed 1,000 posts finally!)
