so what difference does it make if Ali (RA) was appointed by Prophet MuhammadPBUH or not... He (RA) still became Caliph in his time? wheres the difference then?

u should ask this question from a qualified scholar who will give u a plausible reason.

In my humble opinion a possible reason may be the fact if prophet had appointed someone as his successor ppl may start following that person and his descendent onwards as a source and authority for deen’s interpretation.
Such kind of behavior could be detrimental to the spirit of Islam. The basic source of Islam is always quran and hadith and for practical guidance we have to follow sunnah .

sahaba were the persons (except for prophets) this world have ever seen and may be prophet had thought that they were competent enough (surely they were) to choose the best person among them to be their caliph.
(if u want to know how Allah has praised sahaba read the translation of sura fatah).

first of all as a muslim i have great respect for all sahaba whether they were from quraish, ansar or from any other tribe. further we have got no reason to have such kind of opinion about them that they did not trust each other (i humbly request u not to forget their roles they have played in the propogation of islam................ probably u have developed such kind of opinion about them as the most authentic book of 12ers "Asool e Kafi" does not highlight the role of the sahaba other than hazrat ali and his followers. not much detail about the wars of badr, uhad , ahzab and incident of hudaybia , bair e muana.............. so if u dont read about their contribution how can u praise them).

2ndly ur statement contains obvious contradiction. Prophet himself was from quraish and hazrat ali too.
if ansar wud mistrust quereshi's how they wud become willing to give oath to hazrat ali.

simple. Sunni are lovers of the sahaba, the wives of the Prophet SAW, the awliyaa of Allah and sunni show what love for the Prophet SAW is ..

and the rest be it wahabbi, dewbandi, shia, tablighi etc etc .. they all either oppose the sahaba, they defame the wives of the Prophet SAW, don not accept that awliya can exist..... every other sect has an enmity one way or the other towards Islam or the ppl of Islam.

I have no problem with shia brothers except the cursing of sahaba we sunnis regard very high in maqaam, I guess not all shia agree with the cursing part though.

so as a question .. shia do not slander hazrat Umar RA and Hazrat Ameer Muaawiya RA keeping in mind he was Kaatib e wahi ..and do shia not consider Hazrat Umar a True sahabi...and why do the shia not also show the true status of Hazrat Hassan RA brother of Imam hussain ..the way shia show status of Imam Hussain .. Is it becos Hazrat Hassan made a pact between Hazrat Ali and Ameer Muaawiya ...know that the hadith of the Prophet SAW that which ever star *sahabi you follw will be on my path .. ???

So many objections shia raise and make .. and what on earth is this .. that Hazrat Jibraeel mistakenly went to Our Prophet SAW at time of wahi ..whereas shud av been Hazrat Ali RA .. this is objection against Allah Almighty .. that he sent Jibraeel AS to wrong person .. yet Allah told that Angels do not make mistakes ..

Shia in my point of view and in my belief infact are most controversial group out the lot..

^^ these are just some most talked about / discussed issues against the shia amongst many ..and if someone dosnt consider these objections as hate/slander towards sahaba then ...I suggest that that person study from scholars.

Not limited to that, majority of Shia believies that Quran ( the copy we have) is fabricated (Noori Tebrassi comes to mind, he is burried next to Hazrat Ali (RZA)), some believes that goat ate the quran and some ( who consider them modest) says a 6 year old boy ranaway with Quran and yet there are some who says while compilation of Quran, Ali (RZA) told muslims that the one they had is good enough for them and he kept the original copy of Quran!!!

Now all these are either contradictory to the word of Allah all Mighty or it in a way insult Sahaba (RZA) and Ali (RZA) aswell... most often Shia claims things which in reality insult the very Imams shias.

As far as the difference is concerned, there were two groups who parted their ways from mainstream Islam, one is Kharjies and others are Shias...

100% agree and the other shia group as knwn according to my knowledge is the raafdhiz - raafzi.. and raafzi are teh worst kind if i may say ..as they have teh most absurd views esp in regards to the high status of Abu Bakr RA..and try to defame Hazrat e Abu Bakr RA

well.........to some following the word of Allah and his Prophet is important.........thus the best of companions like Salman, Abu zharr, Miqdad, Ammar never left the side of Imam Ali (as).............and btw when even Imam Ali (as) was forced by the ppl to become their ruler....the likes of Saaid ibn Aas, Walid ibn Uqbah, Marwan ibn Hakam, Amr ibn Ass, Busr ibn Artat, Samurah ibn Jundab etc rufsed to pay allegiance to the imam..............study the characters of both groups shall reveal to u more.......Insha Allah.......
