Please correct me if I am wrong, but after reading this statement by Moin:

"The more I look back at his dismissal, the more convinced I get that the downhill journey for the little champion has started because it has been established that, according to the laws of the game, he was not out as the ball had made contact with the right glove that was not in play."*

Didn't the replay show (at least) two instances of this version, one in which the ball had clearly and visibly came in contact with the glove-in-play, and the other one which dismissed any such theory? I remember there being two separate and distinct television replays, and both of them were worlds apart, but maybe that is just me.

as much as I would like 2 believe tendulkar is scared of shoaib, hes not, 10dulkar was facing the music but the dismissal was almost obvious and sachin felt his hand was on the bat and 1 shot showed it was and geforry boycott, manjrekar, and ramiz confirmed it, his hand flew off as soon as ball hit glove, now i do agree with moin that sachin is going downhill!

So was there only one replay shown, and not two (as per my query from my post)?

And where is the logic in "scared of Shoaib"? Tendulkar has faced Shoaib numerous times, and on ocassions, Akhtar has been man-handled all over the park with the display of extravagant shots. I personally don't think the scared logic come anywhere close when we take a look at Sachin, and his mastery form of art.

I believe the correct term we are applying in this instance is 'passion' (or lack of, depending upon how one articulates the article)

This was a mere attempt to be controversial. I just hope Sachin desn't read it until after the series... why give him the extra fire to shut the critics down..

Sachin has been phenominal with the bat. Like all good things come to an end
Sachin has been out of runs for quite a while now.
Good players are never scared of quality bowlers like Shoaib. In fact Shoaib & Sachin have a quite rivalry in which they are neck to neck. :k:

I predict that Tendulkar will struggle bigtime in this series and will be the beginning of the end of his career. Its not like I am hoping or praying that he doesn't perform well. I just stated a fact. Believe me but I would consider Youvraj singh and kaif much more dangerous now as compared to Tendi. I would be relieved to see tendi and ganguly in side instead of kaif and youvraj. Whatever I said was on the basis of how he has played lately in the last 1 year or 2.

Look at his last 15 test match stats and you will know what if am trying to say. He has averaged 50+ in last 15 matches and scored 1058 runs. But see how frequently he has played mediocre innings. Just take out his 194* at Multan, 248* against BD and 109 against SL. Tendi has scored 507 runs in 20 innings with an average of 25. He has scored these 3 big tons after almost every 10 innings. Mind you the middle one 248* was against BD, so in reality he scored a major ton (109* against SL) after almost 20 innings. But these are facts only, which sometime could be wrong as well in a way that sometime they misinterpret the reality . If you have seen tendi playing, than you would know what if am saying. He has looked very ordinary most of the times in these last 15 test matches.

Look at his stats in the last 20 ODI. His average in ODI is not even 30 in the last 20 ODI's. When a player of tendulkar's caliber, towards the twilight of his career is performing that poorly according to his own created standards, what does it suggests????????????

I loved Moin Khan's cricketing ability, but he is smoking pot these days. No test batsman gets scared of fast bowlers enough to actually just walk off when he is not out! Bakwas analysis.

Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi has expressed similar concerns and umpire Rude Koertzen states that Sachin is uncomfortable against the short ptich deliveries. Now this may all be just another charade to keep the series interested, or these guys are just plain wrong.

Rashid Latif, Mohammed brothers, Zaheer Abbass have all come out in favor of Sachin.

We do not have to wait for long, Karachi test match sud be a good indicator.

Most critics think that Sachin in the last couple of years is not the same batsmen as before but the other fact he still is getting the runs and that what matters in the end.

Critics will always come up with different views. Cricket followers should have their own judgement as well. By looking at his stats in the last 15-20 games and the way he has played, it is pretty obvious that he is not the same tendi and is very close to the end of his career.
I can only hope that he makes the right decision of retirement at the right time and does not make mockery of his stature
