What is Love?

How do you know?

there behavior with each tells that .. ..

No, you have not. Love is not what you see on tv. When you find unconditional love, you will find it's more about compromises, sacrifices, and no expectations! Love is not about blooming flowers, rainbows, laughing and singing. It's a lifestyle, when you love someone, you will find you won't be happy all the time. Love is a prerequisite for peace and take that as a universal law.

for me .. if there is no respect in a relationship then there is nothing left .. i have seen couples (who claim they are in love) the scream each other like hell, guys beat girls .. .. they treat girls as if they are their property, they consider that their is no life of a girl .. .. whatever THEY want is something that a girl has to do ..

on the other hand - a girl feel like most unsecure when she is with him .. normally she hides things from him .. ..

but yet .. they claim "They love each other".

I am not arguing at the "definition" of love .. .. I am arguing the "Presence" of love in today's world :) - being practical not theoretical.

I know what you are saying.

The problem is, true love is many times very inconspicuous (hidden) and subtle (from the eyes of others) but still strong and consistent.

The smooching, hugging, calling someone 'my love', and whatever is all good, but somehow the true love is not even so 'exposed'.

And weird phenomenon is that unless the person loses other person, that person does not even know, realizes or even afraid to accept that there really was true love.

That is indeed not what love should be. Any kind of abuse is unacceptable.

now that's something i am talking about .. and i must say.. I agree with you here .. :)

and that's what i have seen in practical life .. and i guess most of the people will second me here .. however, diwana has already stated something nice which i agree

And has a beautiful end too. Even broken-hearted enjoy and cherish the love they were in to.

Something you can call one sided love.

Now this one way love is a bit more destructive and should not be done in my humble opinion.

It is better to stay on the platform and catch a different train than dragging your feet on train tracks, holding on the handle to get on moving train. :)

old people in love is the cutest thing ever.

Re: What is Love?

Can we say.. time is the biggest factor which can truly suggest whether one loves someone or not? If after say 6 months of meeting someone, you still think about them, want to be with them 24/7 and want to progress to next level of relationship, they we can say IT IS LOVE...

Re: What is Love?

This thread has been a revelation. All this time I thought I was suffering from indigestion. Too late now. Crap.

Re: What is Love?

I like this definition of love by ISHFAQ AHMED:

"Achi baat tou sab ko achi lagti hai laikin jab tumhain kisi ki buri baat bhi buri na lagay tou samajh lena tumhain uss se muhabbat hai.."

Re: What is Love?

Re: What is Love?

Love is one thing i can Relate to Allah ONLY. No one is worth loving but HIM.

Jo hay, jahan hay, jesa hay ke bunyaad per jab hum kisi ko Mehboob rakhien.....that is called love :-)

no human can fulfill these things...sirf Allah Talah ke shan hay k wo har giray huway ko...har gunahgaar ko muaf karta hay aur ussy qabol karta hay. Not everyone will understand my words i know :)
