I guess I rest my case! The prophet should have remained a pagan since his whole tribe was pagan...
I am am not attacking your decision to practice barelviism... I am questioning the reason you have mentioned. If you think it is the correct way to go about and that you have diligently done your research on this, then I respect your decision. But if you practice Barelviism because your elders practice it; well there's lots of examples in the Quran about that lot...

Tum logon ne agar kham-khawa behs karni hi hai to apni zubaan mein karo, sab ke saamney apna mazaak mat banaao.
Sab "Sufi/Barelvi" ek jesay naheen hotay aur na hi sab "Deobandi/Ahle-Hadees" ek jesay hotay hain..
