Re: What is haram di kamai?
So the title says it all really? What is considered to be haram when making a living?
I ask this as something has been on my mind lately… and I’m not sure if I was to do such a thing it would be haram or not… it’s not exactly simple when my husband is giving me mixed messages…
The thing is, there’s this site I’ve come across, there’s mainly Pakistanis, Bengali’s and Indians on there. It’s a live chat app. You chat to random strangers and they give you gifts in return if they like your shows, these gifts are then exchanged into beans and the beans are turned into real money, there is a girl on there who has made £9000!
Most of the popular lives broadcasts are from girls and the watchers are mainly guys, the girls can do “shows” where they sing or dance for the viewers… there is no nudity allowed and if court your account gets banned however many girls can be seen in skimpy clothes…
Girls from Pakistan mostly cover there face or show only half there face or only there hand and just talk talk talk to random guys picking up calls and talking, many girls are on there for 6-9 hours straight!!!
I showed my husband and he said he doesn’t like it for me but he doesn’t she the girls as doing haram!! if it’s not haram then why I can’t do it???
Is this a haram living??? He said if I do this then later on I will be embarrassed infront of my children for doing such things… but then I said that he said he thought the girls on there were NOT doing haram…
I don’t wanna do this to chat to guys I wanna do this to make some money… one kushra from Pakistan does a game show thing, I was thinking of doing something similar…
I feel it’s only haram di kamai for me because he doesn’t want me to do it!
I feel like his being overly passive with me and I told him that too, but he said his “looking out for me!”
I’ve just had a newborn and my emotions are everywhere, I want to make money and save for my own place… I feel helpless and just want a better life and don’t want to miss any opportunity!
The app is not that popular in uk so if I was to join now I would be one of the popular ones when and if the app takes of here…
Should I just go for it…?
As long as it’s not haram? But what is haram??? Actuall definition wise?
Please no judingful comments… thank you.
I feel like the fact that your questioning it so much yourself and the answer it itself. It’s prob not what you really wanna do but you can’t see any other options? Taking a guess. Personally, I agree with your husband - you will prob 100% regret it. It may not be directly ‘haram’ but it certainly doesn’t seem ‘halal’ either.
