Get a life man. I may not agree with AP on many issues but he is definitely not racist. He is human by nature and think of rights of minor provinces. Good move by Army today. A state with in state can not exist or humiliations like 1971 and Abbottabad incident happens. The ISPR general should be fired and disciplined. COAS should resign or also fired. Perhaps, Civilians are that much powerful now but if Pakistan has to move forward, army must be controlled. We should not even know who the hell is COAS like in rest of the world. No one should give damn to a 21 grade employee of govt. They do their jobs and get paid for it.

This should be the case but unfortunately I dont see things going to be in this direction. There are load of Ex-service men shouting on each and every step on media and their own discussion groups. They will not let the things to go in this direction. Army will never let the power go away from their hands else they will also become ordinary govt. employees.
Cheap politicians also will make the hands of army strong . The group of politicians which is in opposition will do all sort of turleee to army to terminate elected govt.. At the moment it is IK. I m sure if NS will be in oppsition , he will also do the same.. they cannot wait for 5 years to goto public rather they goto army..

I really can not disagree with you. Although, NS during PPP had many opportunities but he didnt which makes me think that he is over this game army plays. Actually, both PPP/PMLN were over this crap until imran started barking but yes you are overall correct. The humiliation of 1971 and Abbottabad incidents is not even discussed but Dawn Leaks are like the biggest news ever. As for ex servicemen, they were losers and they are losers, they didnt accomplish any thing and their barking will be meaningless soon. Advent of internet, media has atleast made people more aware and awareness is one way street, the more awareness the less BS to making army as some sacred cow.
I was amazed at Chowinda story and how bravely our army fought which is correct but no one has ever taught us about Battle of Usal uttar, where Indian 10th mountain did the same to 1st Cavaly. There is a place in india called PAtton nagar, named after 100s of our army’s advance Patton tank destroyed by india (google it). This kind of awareness was not possible few years ago but now this is in open. More people should question 1971 and 65 claims, if there is celebration for Chawinda, there should be a day of remembering of the humiliating losses in other places.
