hahahah...i never knew this thread would be hugely popular....btw i didn't read all the stuff but majority of u are remonstrating with me..i am not jealous of anyone as i completely understand that my life is no different than others'...everyone has good and bad times...I strongly believe putting up lovey dovey pictures is a mere SHOW OFF...If u r happy in ur life,u don't need to advertise it...its quite personal..and yes if u want to show it to ur immediate family,u can restrict ur privacy settings to them...:)

And, no, posting your pictures online is NOT the equivalent of carrying around a photo album and showing it to ppl at parties. That doesn't evne make any sense...at all.
But if the pics bother YOU so much…why don’t YOU restrict your settings so you don’t have to see them?
Better yet…if the people posting these pics aren’t your immediate family members and if you have no interest in knowing how happy they are in their life…why do you choose to keep them in your friends list at all?

I think people who get so worked up over some pictures are unhappy in their own lives and don't like to see anyone else happy. That's the real issue here. If you're not satisfied with how things turned out for you...you don't like being reminded of it by seeing someone else's happiness.
Since you cannot dictate or have any right to ask anyone else to manage their Facebook page...you should try to re-do your account settings so you don't have to see such things. It would help I think.

Cute ainee, not only that I agree with you but like to add my pet peeve, that is people posting pics of the cakes on their birthdays. What the heck is that? Why are the such a show off?
There is a famous saying, Man has become a tool of their tools. Basically means there is a section of the population who have such weak self control that they have become addicted to facebook (and other such inventions). There are actually people who post about 10 or more status updates or likes everyday. Best to leave these people in their state of sleep…
