What is all this?!

People especially married couples posing on Facebook as if they are the happiest couples on Earth..What is this need by the married ladies to post lovey dovey pix on facebook with their hubbys…Why do they have to pretend that they are sooo happy and all fun…Whom do they want to show and why? Everyone showing that they are more happy than the others…i seriously can’t understand:confused:

Re: What is all this?!

I guess they are happy why do you care? Let them do what they want.

Re: What is all this?!

:hmmm: should they be posting unhappy pics? or pose like the images from the 1700 - 1800’s where the couple stands stiff with arms by their side and frown on their face?
not really sure what you are getting at.
you specifically seem to be mifed at married ladies posting lovey dovey pics … ummm last I checked single ppl of our culture and religion are pretty much discourage from having a lovey dovey relationship before marriage … soooo again not sure what’s bugging you about this.

now im not much of a facebook person in general but perhaps people post pics as a reminder to themselves of good times and want to share those pics with their family or friends. Im also pretty sure that you can remove posts/pics offensive to your sensibilities from your view.

Re: What is all this?!

Here's a general rule for everyone to follow:
Stop getting annoyed by what others post on FB or taking others' posts personally. No one is forcing you to log in to FB. And no one is forcing you to read/view these posts. If reading/viewing someone's online posts is bothering you, stop reading them. Remove them from your newsfeed. That is under your own control. In all likelihood you're not really part of the intended audience. People post what they want to share and what they think others will find interesting. There is nothing wrong with that, especially when you are sharing what is important to you. It is really silly to get so worked up over such small things and to make a big deal out of them.

That being said, I do worry about these kinds of comments sometimes when I think about sharing things online. You don't know what the people in your audience are going through, how posts of your own happy moments may remind some people of what they may lack in any given moment. No one's life is perfect, and people should feel comfortable sharing the good. But sometimes these shares end up encouraging negative feelings in others, due to their own personal struggles. I think most people will reflect and understand and not take things too personally, but there are some who may be depressed and feel greater sadness. And there are others that will get angry and have hateful feelings and lash out toward the poster (kind of like the OP here). I worry about nazar, intentional or unintentional in times like these. Always be grateful for the blessings you have and pray to Allah to protect them and to help those who may not have them.

What is all this?!

Sour grapes, much? :hmmm:

Re: What is all this?!

1) Why do you think they're pretending? Maybe they really are very happy and having a blast living life.

2) Well, with Facebook, its safe to assume that they're want to show their status/pics to the people on their friend list.

I think the better question is why do people (such as yourself) continue to look at their profiles if it annoys them so much? It's very easy to change settings so their posts don't show up on your newsfeed.

Re: What is all this?!

Vhy your threads are not cute? Vut is this?!?

Re: What is all this?!

What a nasty and bitter comment to make. What makes you assume they’re unhappy or fake?

Whatever’s making you unhappy in your life, fix it and stop being jealous/petty of others.

Re: What is all this?!

I personally like people who post happy stuff on Facebook, most of my friends on FB are actually my friends so I'd feel happy for them if they are posting happy pictures. OP, maybe these married ladies/ couple are so happy with their marriage that they want the world to know how happy they are, isn't that a good thing? It actually gives hope that married life isn't all depressing and stressful.

On the other hand, I don't like when any of my friends updates really depressing statuses or pictures, so I just restrict them from my newsfeed. Because we do have that option.

Re: What is all this?!

You don’t like it? Block it or restrict it but stop being nasty about it. How can you say they are pretending? Main apni dispay pic apnay mian ke sath nahi to hamsaye ke mian ke sath lagaongi kia? :hmmm:

Re: What is all this?!

What about posting half naked honeymoon pics, as in short skirts, tank tops, beach dresses, pretending as if you are way too open and braging online how your hubby is sweetheart!

Re: What is all this?!

You know why they're so happy right?....it's cos they got the latest Ubunto HAssVy Kameez. They are posing so you can look and copy their outfit

Re: What is all this?!

cute ainee…try not to voice these feelings in front of anyone else because people will know how jealous you are. What makes you think people are showing off to you? Do you really think you’re the first and only person to cross someone’s mind when they post their picture on their pages? How small minded of you. Some couples do actually like each other and have fun…true story.
