And I always wonder what Abstract Art is? Now for you artist people, you can make sense out of anything and see the message, but maybe my question is, does art need to convey a message all the time.
Because in Abstract art, what I see is plain beauty. Its captivating and fascinating, but its not something that can communicate with me. Its not telling me anything. And then I find people around me who, after looking at that painting, tell me what the artist is trying to say.
Is that real? Is artist trying to say something, or are these so called art lovers are throwing gibberish at me, just to impress me with their understanding.
For instance, is there anything these pieces are telling you. To me, they are just wonderful display or colors.
There is always a message.. it only comes to you if you let it. If you open yourself enough to see it.. When you reach deep into your heart and lisen to it..
The funny thing is Art is always self reflective. you will only see in it what you are hiding inside you…
Well said Hin33. However, I do agree with TLK in that sometimes art is a mere expression of a thought not necessarily associated with a message...like maybe a release of some feeling of the artist, not something that can be understood by the observer.

what is that you see in above paintings. Do you see a message or a feeling. Can I understand that if I want to. Would that require a talent to have an artful eye or is that a skill that I can develop.

for some people it is a feeling.. some see a clear message..other simply dont care..
