Good question. Right now I cannot think of any. Dating is probably the first level of knowing anyone, something of which there shouldnt be any harm.
But, thats just my opinion. I’m sure there are many people (actually most people) do find some reason. Usually its something between the social, racial or religious belongings.

Outside of race/religion I wouldn’t date them. That’s like a waste of time.

I’m referring to shallow reasons that have no basis or explanation..

not sure as shallowness might be very subjective.
For me it’s more like inner vibe that I get when I meet people - men or women and it gives me an idea if I would like to meet them again.
So this friend of Farhan’s is totally a knockout, great values, amazing person and you could see the attraction between them and she clearly likes him and he didn’t date her because they are friends, what an idiot. I am asking my wife to get her number and see if my nephew in Ny may be interested. I hope she is not older than him.
