What is a sect? [split from 73 sects]

Yeah, I would really like to know how many sects the Shia have within it. And before you say ‘Alevi’ or perhaps the sect which says Prophet-hood belonged to Imam Ali (as) and was erroneously given to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh&hp) [Allah’s refuge - Nauzubillah], let me inform you that these people are not Muslims let alone Shia.

May people with these beliefs be damned to the deepest and scariest place of al-Jahannum, Inshallah.

Good enough, a condemnation for you?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but being an Infallible Imam also means you’re a just Imam [which you’re forgetting].

And as a just Imam, you don’t just ‘rule’ that something happened or the following person was righteous, and expect the people to obey you (especially when so much of the Ummah is already against you). So without proof, the Imam isn’t giving out anything. Maybe you’ve heard of the story of the Jew who stole Imam Ali’s (as) shield? That serves as a perfect example here (tell me if you haven’t, I’ll type it out for you).

From what I understand, you’re saying that Imam Ali (as) should have simply said that Uthman bin Affan’s murder was justified, and end the story? I would call that a very poor knowledge of history on your part, no offence.
Imam Ali (as) was in the battlefield. The people had brought copies of the Qur’an on their lances, asking for arbitration. What good would have saying that Uthman was an unjust ruler, done in the situation he was in?

Fine, he says Uthman was unjust. Then what? He was saying that all along [precisely the reason why the arbitration was held], but when you’re bribed by Mua’wiyah, you become deaf and blind and betray the Imam of your time. On Amr ibn al Aa’s’s part, I’m afraid it was double betrayal.

Hmm… maybe then, you can point out one clear mistake Imam Ali (as) did as the companion of the Prophet (pbuh) and the Caliph?
In case, the story of Imam Ali (as) proposing to Abu Jahl’s daughter comes up, that was a clear misunderstanding, and a result of gossip spread by haters.

The latter part of 33:33 makes it clear the Ahlul Bayt (as) [which excludes the wives ofcourse] are clear from ‘al-Rijs’. Go look up on Google what pinnacles of abomination and filth the word covers. Who are the Ahlul Bayt? According to the Sahihain; Fatima (as) wa abu-ha (pbuh&hp), ba’aluha (as) wa banuha (as).

A lot of Qur’anic verses make it clear that infallibility is not a Divine attribute (as you might say). For example, remember when Allah (swt) says to Iblis that he can not deviate the righteous ones, and Iblis confirms saying he has no chance of deviating them? How silly of us to believe that this could be referring to the common good Muslim today… the best of the best scholars are prone to deviation by Iblis. The verse is certainly referring to another elite group who are immune to ‘al-waswas’.

Oh wow… over half of us are now Kafir and not part of the Ummah. Splendid! I wonder why this hasn’t been edited yet. You reserve absolutely no right to call anybody Kafir, especially when it’s very clear it’s the Shia you’re referring to. Because of people like you, the efforts by the Shias and Sunnis to maintain unity between themselves is going are going down the drain.

  1. The words of the Maraji’ are definitely not Allah’s words. Astaghfirullah.
Allah’s final word is the complete, preserved Qur’an we have today.
I’m pretty sure you’re trying to twist what he said.

  2. Inshallah, I have good mind to start a thread about Mutah (plus one about the shirk contained in the Sahihain and probably one about Taqiyyah), if it’s not against site rules and policy.

Oh and maybe you meant to say that the Wahhabi (aka Nawasib, Taliban, etc.) have declared us as Kuffar (and not the Ahlul Sunnah). The Ahlul Sunnah accept the Ja’fari school of thought as a fifth Islamic school of thought. Haven’t you come across the fatwa by Al-Azhar university (I’ll get Jafri to post it for me).

Half correct, half incorrect. Belief in 2 is not Wajib. So if one does not curse them by name, it makes no difference to the fact that he is an Ithna Ashari Shia. We have been encouraged to curse the enemies of Ahlul Bayt (as) in general (and not curse by name), and it covers all those who troubled and caused pain to them

Unbelief in 4 is clear denial of what the Imams (as) and the Prophet (pbuh&hp) have allowed. Not only is Mutah permissible, it is recommended in the Jafari school of thought. A few people claiming to be Shias can’t change the truth.

Apologize for the length, and for anything you found offensive.

Wa-assalam Alaykum
