What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

Re: What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

something strange happened when I was in Pakistan. Me and my husband, his sister and her friend were in Rawalpindi shopping and this guy dressed in green material wrapped around him came up to us. He was very strange looking and he didnt speak but held his hand out for money. At first I gave him 5 rupees he gestured for more and i kept giving him notes it must have been about 30-40 rupees in total and then he grabbed my hand it was quite scary and he put my hand in my husbands hand and kissed both our foreheads and he was gone. I thought how did he know that we were married especially as we had two other female with us.
Is that a pir?

Re: What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

Its a way or intercession. And that is allowed in Islam. Although Whabbis appose this.

You should pray for them, and ask them to ask Allah for getting your forgiveness on your behalf.

Re: What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

Most likely a person of god (pir) they have knowledge of the 3rd eye. There are some books on this too I will try to find it for you.

Re: What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

Amazing!!!

Re: What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

Real peer do not exist anymore, although I believe they did exist in the early 1940's. Now it's a word used by any person looking for easy money & rinsing other's cash by giving out false information & making people like us look stupid.

Re: What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

are shrines da graves of peers?

Re: What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

what about peer syed sahib :cb:

Re: What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

Islam is a way of life and not a way away from life....our parents, spouces, siblings, kidds all have rights upon and I believe by deserting them you are actually commiting a sin which u will proably have to pay for in the end.

Re: What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

I also don't think they exist anymore...the real pirs never ask for money or food like fakeers do.

Re: What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

they are not “peer”, they are more like “mangal”

The only peer I know and believe is Monday :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

Partially correct. People who desert their responsibilities will have to answer for that. Islam does not encourage people leaving their obligations either. The only thing is, I am not sure if it is deemed a sin, because if someone loses their mind, and ability to think straight, then how do you make them accountable? Its another thing if someone abandons their responsibilities and just walk away knowing fully well what they are doing.

Having said that, I personally know many tableeghi jamaat folks who go for chilla for many months, practically abandoning their families and spreading daw'aa in various far off places. They all think they are doing a great service to Islam. Many times they go with great price to pay in terms of their businesses and employments and naturally their personal lives. What do you say about that?

Re: What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

Okay fine maybe not a sin but it is against what Islam teaches.

I personally know a lot of tableeghi uncles who will leave their kids and wives for months and I think its wrong. First of all you need to raise good children, I mean whats the point of you going to chicago, uk, God knows where, to give lectures and yet your own children dont get the proper education. Their wife have to depend on others for basic things, i.e. getting groceries(cuz most of the time they dont drive) and then there are things you CANT depend on others for that you need from your husband. I have noticed that those aunties are emotionally detached from their husbands(most deis aunties are anways i guess). I mean they might think they are doing something great, but thats not how the Prophet(saww) lived.

Re: What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

Everyone has their own feelings and beliefs about pirs and i respect that. i personally dont believe in pirs and i think Allah should be enough.

We know that kalam Allah has effect. I had this argument with a senior member of community in a barber shop once. I said to him why would one need pir to get closer to Allah as to do so all you need is to pray regularly and be a good human and muslim.

Thats just my opinion and we all know there were a lot of Holy people out there in old times. Although, I am not sure about the existing times.

Re: What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

The only Pir or Peer i believe in is the Peer-to-Peer Network. Thats bout it :P

:rotfl:…LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Re: What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

we know this guy who is not exactly a pir but he is very knowledgable. few years ago my bro was having some tough times. someone told him about this guy [then both were working for the same company but different department]. so he went to the guy and told him about his problems. he said he’d see wht he can do. he did his thingie and told my bro that his problems will be solved soon and even told him the month and how long it will take. fair enough it was all true and everything he said came true. :k:

Re: What is a pir (peer) and do u believe in it?

ok i’ve also had my share of creepy incidents. in pakistan quite a few yrs ago this “faqeer” dressed in colorful garb stopped by our car (i was with my uncle at that time) and asked for money. my uncle gave him a bit of money and the faqeer gave him a green stone (he claimed it brings good luck) then he took out a tiny green snake ( a real snake) and said it doesnt bite and put the snake on my uncle’s lap. read some antar mantar and then left. my uncle went home, put the green stone on his desk next to his wallet and all and the next day he woke up to find his wallet full of money gone. could be anything..but he blamed it on the stone and threw it out.

once my dad got hypnotised by this old guy in white walking by the street and gave him like a thousand rupees just cuz he asked for it. and even called him inside the house to offer him anything he wanted from our living room decorations…

**The categories of an “amel”

AS SALAMU ALLAIQUM

First of all, I’d like to tell you something about “amel” and “magicians”. Any amel or magician, who has great knowledge or “roohaniyat”
Can do almost anything with the help of his “ilem” or knowledge, and casting small spells are not a big deal for him.
A magician will only cast that spell which he has either learnt from his master, or which is in his knowledge.

First, I will tell you about the categories of “amel”

1) Are those amels who use only the quraanic verses and sura’s for doing their spellsl and azmeyat.(angels spells)

2) Then there are those amels who use the 99 names of Allah for doing their “amal”(spell), and such an amel is called “Zaakir”

3) Then there is one who uses “nakash” (Images/Scripts/Illustrations) also called “taveez” and this is also a very high knowledge.

4) Then there are those “amils” who use “Ilme-e-Jaffer”

5) There is another type of amel, who uses “elim-e-Adat” (numbers sptrituality)for doing his spells, and he has power over “number”

6) Another type of Amel uses astrology as a source, and he has great power over it, and whoever has this knowledge, he can always do
Great “Amal” with it and is never mistaken. He can tell the future using his astrological powers.

One who possesses this Ilem too has a high position, in Amils and they can control the stars and their “Mokilat” (angels). But this kind of knowledge can only reveal what the future possibilities are, but they cannot be 100% definite.
They may tell many things about someone, but out of all those, only some may become true, and some other may not. People who believe in the stars go to such astrologers and they tell them things that hardly come true.
But only whatever Allah wills, happens. Such knowledge can only reveal the probability of something happening. Only the “Wali” of Allah can predict the future.

7) There is that amil who controls his “Hamzad” (shadow) and makes him work for him.
He does not do any amal(spell) himself, but only orders his Hamzad(shadow) for carrying out tasks for him.

8) Then there is an amil who controls the “Alam-e-Arva” which includes the jinn, Hamzad, Paryaan, deyo, Hakel, Mokel, Bair and many other creatures.
He can control the jinn and even their king, and orders them around, and in turn,
The amel too has to do something for them, only then the jinn carry out the orders of the amil.

And if the amil don’t do what the jinn ask them, in turn, so they can even punish the amil.
Similarly, they control the Mokal, or their king, and it’s very hard to control them,
as for that reason they have to keep fast and do all that is good and keep themselves from doing all that is bad and doing such a thing is todays times is very hard.
Once the amil gets a hold of the mokal, he requests them to carry out some tasks for him and then he just sits back and watches while the mokal does everything for him. The amil asks the king of mokal to send some of his workers for him help, and the mokal clearly tells him not to use them for doing wrong.
Mokal has the power to even destroy jinn, but the jinn cannot hurt mokal. Even the king of jinnat is no match for the mokel.

9) there is one type of amil who is the “Wali or Buzarg” of all the amils, and he has “mokel kodse” that is very hard to capture, and only that amil who keeps fast all year long and is close to Allah, and does not care a bit for the world and who loves Allah and the Prophet PBUH, he can control that mokel. And he does not miss even a single prayer, for example, Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani, Khuwaja Ghareeb Nawaz, Abdullah Shah Ghazi, Hazrat Data Ganj Baksh, Ghos Pak Dastageer and many more pious people. They were the people who were visited by the jinnat and fairies, for telling them, their problems and these pious people would help them out. They are so close to Allah that when they say something, it is heard, and their wishes are granted. They live in places where there are no people and they are busy in praising Allah all the time. They are the ones who know what the future holds. Even the magicians cannot harm them. If a magician tries to harm them, that magician is inturned hurt so badly that he dies in the streets or stays sick and lives in a very bad condition.

remember me in your prayer
