What is a girl to do?

Re: What is a girl to do?

If you can afford it and have a good surgeon then go for it. Stop obsessing over haram halal details. Im sure God has other stuff on his mind.

do we ask the same question for heart transplant surgery or any heart surgery in general?

:smack:

Re: What is a girl to do?

bhai I said it's a different scenario when there is a disease or medical condition to take care of.......breast implantation is not a solution to some disease

Re: What is a girl to do?

ok here is what I found

http://www.islamonline.net/servlet/Satellite?pagename=IslamOnline-English-Ask_Scholar/FatwaE/FatwaE&cid=1119503545652

but I myself am very much against FATWAS …It’s just for sharing …

And I never said they would be thrilled to get any surgery either.

Yes they are the unlucky one and do go through a very tough time no one but themselves could understand.

My point is that those who are divorced/older and not even thinking someone would actually look at them so closely who use this service regularly.

It is those who just want to show off and be admired by people around them who use these services more commonly. This include women who are in showbiz or illegitimate business.

I also mentioned a middle ground where women who really feel the need since they could not get married due to lack of acceptable figure..then that is fine for them to get this surgery done.
So, both extreme exist with a happy medium. :)

This is, by far, one of the the most crass and puerile things i have read on GS. I'm not even going to dignify that with a response.

LOL

How can anyone compare a heart transplant surgery with a surgery to get breast implants :smack:

So how about breast augmentations? What if youre older, and you’ve had kids and you’re not happy wiht the way your breasts look and u just need a little lift (To my undertsanding..thats what a breast augmentation is…not quite the same as breast implants)?

u know…u either know or u don’t :hehe:

And since we’re talking about cosmetic/plastic surgery…how about liposuction? or tummy tucks, facelifts, botox etc?

From what I have learnt, plastic surgery isnt allowed, especially for cases to correct something is is "abnormal". So for example, getting a nose job is a no-no, but if your face gets smashed in and your nose is demented and you need to fix it, then its ok. Or if someone gets burned in a fire and they need skin grafts or reconstruction surgery etc. So I personally dont agree that getting breast implants would be permissible in Islam. An exception could I guess be someone who has breast cancer and has her breasts removed
If a woman is under going serious self esteem issues and depression because she is not happy with the way she looks, what is the harm? Some just arent born with it, what do they do?
I find that really sad! A woman is under going serious self esteem issues and depression and the way to make her feel better about herself is to tell her she needs a bigger chest???!! Way to make her feel like a piece of meat and assure her that the only validation she needs to seek is through physical looks. How will having a fuller cup improve her self-esteem, by causing more men to check her out when she walks down the street??? She should join Toast Masters, or get counseling, or volunteer to feed homeless people....getting breast implants to improve self-esteem or depression just sounds sooo horrible to me!!!

I know…:mehr: the vagueness was so that the whole world wouldn’t know…smoke and mirrors…

PS: You’re invited to my next botox party…:faizy:

Oh wait, the :faizy: is not appropriate, given the context…let me say it again…

PS: You’re invited to my next botox party…:fraudia:

Allah does have a lot of things on his mind, for sure.

But he does tell us to keep haram and halal on our minds…

Ummmm…where did I say all of these things? :konfused:

Anyway, its not about PEOPLE making her feel like a piece of meat…its about her own self esteem. SHE feels she needs bigger breasts to feel like a woman. SHE feels self conscious wearing fitted clothes. SHE doesnt want to wear a bathing suit. SHE feels ver self conscious with her husband.

Its not her fault, its what she sees around her in the media that makes her want a fuller figure. Woman = hour glass figure. Believe it or not, looks do play a part in self esteem and confidence. If you have them, you always feel great. If you dont, you will either seek confidence through other things or wont have any.

^ Didnt say you said them, was just sharing my own thoughts and opinions. Someone might think its a good idea for a woman with self-esteem problems and depression to get breast implants, and thats their opinion and people might agree or disagree. But personally I think its sad and unhealthy and isnt addressing the real problem, which are serious issues and run very deep. And thats my opinion and people might agree or disagree

Re: What is a girl to do?

Invest in one of them xpensive bras. They can certainly do the same effect - cost less - halal (as long as no one stares)

On serious note:

 • Issue is not how you look, thats just a cover up for other underlying issues.

 • There are risks - but if big breast is what makes you happy, then u gotta do what you gotta do. [Even if it doesnt end up making u happy, it will prolly make some other people (read men) happy lol... so think of it as khidmat-e-khalak]

Well I am sorry to make you feel this way and while I think why you might say that, still completely disagree with your feeling.

What I said is something which can be justified if looked through other point of view or be read correctly.

it was to put things in context, the post that I had quoted was noting that docs can not see the chest of a woman. If its a no no then its a no no for breast reconstruction or implants or for heart surgery where they also see the chest.

pay attention please :smack:

below is the original post for your reading pleasure. I am amused that stuff like that does not generate posts of disbelief

Re: What is a girl to do?

^ nothing is more important than human life. even pig and alcohol is halal if they can cure you, while you are on deathbed, or about to die...or something that might make you die.

Re: What is a girl to do?

my understanding of this whole topic is… its pointless to even discuss.

If you think its un-halal.. then so be it.

If some poor woman wants to enhance or reduce or breasts for whatever reasons, let her be. She does not need to justify her reasonings to anyone. Because noone will really understand.

Why cant we just let people be… let them be happy and content with the decisions they make. Where does Islam say we need to suffer in this life to be happy in the next? If someone wants to be happy in this life by having larger or smaller breasts, then let them.

What harm does it do to you? :smack:

Re: What is a girl to do?

don't know too many halal non-halah questions lurking around GS nowadays :) keep them coming guppians and guppies..

Re: What is a girl to do?

after reading the whole thread - I gotta agree with sadzzz.

i think it's a myth that women get transplant only to get attention from the opposite sex. i have seen cases where husband/bf have asked them or have always had self esteem issues since childhood and breat augmentaiton or impants have helped them.
