I have clearly told my mum i want a simple wedding(when i do have one ).......cuz i read somewhere.....tht the prophet(pbuh) said ...simpler the wedding....more blessings it will have....

simple weddings can be soo beautiful and classy. like a simple high tea with only your closest relatives and friends and the remaining cash as gift would jus make things better!!

Wedding only happens the one time, rather have a lavish weddingas you cantbe a bride andget marriedtwice with the same person after you have kids. Whereas after the wedding you have a lifetime to start earning and saving. It's better you start married life without the help of parents, thatt way it brings a couple closer and makes them more responsible knowing that they can't be lazy and they need to work hard to have a better life.

I dont think this constitutes everyone.

And while you’re right about a lot of women getting worked up over these things, its just because Allah swt has given them or their parents enough to live out their dreams. There is nothing wrong with that. Its their money, they’ve worked hard for it and reserve the right to spend it how they wish.

I know so many PARENTS who are more focused on their children’s weddings than anyone else. They work so hard because its their dream ke unkay bachon ki shaadi dhoom dhaam se ho. So what?

Dude, if I had enough I would have a simple wedding but wear an Umar Sayeed bridal that reeked of class and elegance. They cost around 12K USD…thats a down payment on a car…sometimes half the price of a car.
