The question stated, You already bought it. Thus its already established that its wrong to BUY it, the question is what to do AFTER.

Looking at the positive side. get that 50 milllion and send 45 million to a charity in pakistan and keep 5 for your self…

He says someone bought it (now the sin is already committed to a point) and result is that he won too.
As for me :D ... I would take the money, probably establish some sort of welfare trust and invest it so that the money keeps regenerated and poor people can use it for loans, life-saving procedures etc. Establish some scholarships for poor and needy.

its like the interest u unintentionally gain on ur savings account... take it out and give to the poor w/o expecting any reward 4 it as it is haram money... though some ppl wanna use it to pay their zakats :(

No the concept of using haraam money is very clear in Fiqh
It can be used only at a place where use of haraam is allowed becuase of majbooree
So the only place the money can go is to feed poor people who would otherwise die of hunger and they are in a situation where eating murdaar is allowed for them. That is where haraam money can go

my last response was based on the reasoning and ruling given by Maulana Yousuf Ludhiyaanvi Shaheed.
No one even mentioned paying zakaat with that money... Zakat is NOT charity.

Um something like Essay writing, or First person to solve a Rubic's Cube within 2 seconds, or a 800m nonstop race, or developing the best software application,.
And what about having a DRAW. Where peeople just put their names in (For free) and whoever gets their name drawn out wins.
In all these situations, in my opinion it should be ok rite?
