I wouldn’t completely avoid him (it would be a bit unrealistic where I live) but wouldn’t go out of my way to talk to him either..
I’d just behave as I would with any other person..

i’m sure we’ll pause a few moments before saying ‘hello’ to each other. she will probably be more curious than me to find out how things are with me, how have i moved on and if i’m married with or without children. she will act as if her life has been perfect and that she has moved on…she would expect me to open my wounded heart and tell her my miseries…well, she ain’t getting any peek into my life…
…she will be left even more curious…i know that ‘curiosity kills the cats and ex’s alike’!
