Which nick would you use? The old one or the new one?
You have made new friends with your new ID and they don’t know about your old nick…so if you stop using your new nick you’d lose them…but if you stop using your old nick you’d miss on all the updates from your old buddies.
What is one to do in such situation? And no, using both accounts isn’t an option.

Use the old nick to PM people you want to keep up with and ask them to add your new nick.
Then just use your new nick.

Stage 1 - Disclose your old nik to the friends of the new nik
Stage 2 - Disclose your new nik to the old friends
Stage 3 - Ask the mods nicely .... to merge the accounts on your chosen nik ......

whats the point though? everyone eventually finds out what your new nick is... i never understood the concept behind double nicks.
unless u dont tel anyone your new nick and troll around. now thats workable.

Well, if they don't want to keep up with you, you're probably better off without them as well.
Send a group PM, "hey I've changed my nick, if you still want to be on my contact list, add me if you want"

Well, for a while, I hated my old nick (have some bittersweet memories related with this nick) so I made a new nick but then missed the private blogs of everyone in my old nick's friendlist.

So operating from multiple ID's is allowed on this website? Thats strange, usually online forums are quite strict about it....
