If PPP comes back into power, then it would be a dark day in our political history. The only thing that can bring a somewhat positive swing to PPP getting re-elected is for PPP voters to have enough sense to at least not to elect the known corrupt names from the current government, starting with the ‘honorable PM and President’. However, that presents another problem, as the list of corrupt names runs very deep, and eliminating them all would leave PPP with virtually noone. The few who we used to think as clean (Aitezaz Ahsan, Amin Fahim) have turned dirty as well in the past years.
So barring a complete cleanup of the party, I dont see any thing good coming out of them getting reelected.

To be severely technical, you just wasted 6 lines, 126 words and 572 characters for your above post. It’s just not happening. There are criminals in most political parties, from top to bottom. Small or large, criminals still. You can count the good guys on your two hands, and will still have fingers to spare.

Thing is the jagarderi nizaam, the feudal system. And that’s how more than half (around 60%) of our population is ruled. These haris are given land to cultivate on lease by the feudal. Come election time, these poor people are asked to vote for someone, and they are left with no choice. Even if some poor hari tries/says that he will vote for a clean person, these feudal will break his legs, or tell him to take his family and get out of their lands. Most parties are cursed like this.
So if the feudal lord says vote for this donkey, Facebook avatar, cup, mug, bug, tub or even a tree, it is done! Some are village based feudal, some city based fascists. From feudal to fascists, the remaining population is left with little or no choice. These are the guys that are in the government, and will be in the assemblies/senate.
