Biggest suggestion is do get hotels that are as close as possible to the Haram as possible especially with a toddler. This is one place you should not skimp if your budget allows. As far as meals are concerned you may not really need them if you are not a big eater. There is a lot of food in these packages....if you are an avid food eater then go for it ...otherwise you might be able save money if you don't choose this. Customize according to your needs. But one thing I personally would opt for with a small child is the closest hotel near the haram.
