Sheyn, it does take two to make a committment but if one party holds on, he/she can positively impact and influence the other. Most of the times.

What is holding my marriage together...The fact that I am incomplete without my husband. Some people may take this as being a doormat or being too dependent...no...I can manage my life alone but I find pleasure in being interdependent. The friendship, the comfort, the peace of mind is greater than the challenges. I guess you reach that point after you make a decision to look for the good and ignore the insignificant negatives.

I get what your saying.......and thats what Mom says too.....that its the mindset that you go into a marriage with about making it work no matter what the obstacles and things eventually work out for the best........however I think having seen a few of my friends and relatives be in bad marriages has made me cynical and commitment-phobic !***

These days it is hard to trust people. There are so many negative influences...however, there are still some good folks. Its OK to be skeptical but have faith.

Willingness should be there in both parties but sometimes its one person’s total commitment and willingness that could turn the other person around and make him commit, so one should never hesitate to initiate or wait for other to commit first.
