***Ok so everyone keeps going on and on about how difficult things are and how hard it is to cope …and yet they are still in that marriage .So i’m assuming there must be a greater good that’s holding it together !

oh and having separate closets and separate bathrooms has seriously eliminated 90% of the fights that most couples have in their first few years of marriage.
.....inclination to want to be together.. common goals.... committed to spending a lifetime together, compassion, understanding and COMPROMISE...and COMPROMISE and MORE COMPROMISE.....respect and motivation for making and securing a better life.....Inshallah x

What holds the marriage together?
Willingness to be together together no matter what. Its a commitment one should make to him/herself and not to the other spouse that I will never leave this union, no matter what happens.
Trust, respect for each other, ignore small petty issues and learn to compromise and "ignore" things sometimes....
