what has changed

Re: what has changed

It’s somewhat like Obama’s presidency, people felt good about a first black president who is smart, articulate and sincere. However good he is, he can only do so much to undo the mistakes of past governments that has come to haunt US economy. Similarly, it appeared good for a while, a dictator sent packing, judiciary was restored, TV and news media got its freedom back, but the blunders and short sighted staregic moves of previous Pakistan administrations (from Ayub to Mush) is not too easy to be undone by any one administration that too one like the current one.

I know the poster did not has about the way forward, but I am compelled not to finish by post without an answer. It will take few years, I see only two ways out of this; 1) an Islamic revolution that will live it’s shelf life and get back to normal or 2) someone strong should step in to squash the radicals and take the country back to Jinnah’s ideology and it’s not Mushy who played the worst hand possible. He screwed up makeable hand with 7 tricks short.
