Forcing someone to do something in a marriage, no matter what it is, will only cause problems. If that trend continues, it will lead to resentment. How happy of a marriage is it going to be if one partner is forcing the other to do something? ? ?
Personally, i think you destroy the spirit of marriage the minute you pressure your significant other into doing something or not doing something they don't want.

Even though she works in the beginning, once she becomes a mother she will end up stop working then I guess husband shouldn't have any problems with it.

I would think the husband would want his wife to work to keep her mind stimulated if it wasn't for the finances. If she busied herself in activities outside the home (like taking different kinds of classes or doing volunteer work) then it would serve the same purpose without the committment required when working. I guess it depends on why he wants her to work.

yea but then if your husband is annoying and he wants you to work, you have to go back to work.
I know a lady like that and shes miserable. Its not like her husbands filthy rich, but makes decent money but just wants his wife to work so they can ahve the extra cash. Its so sad when she complains about not being able to spend enough time with her baby daughter. Its sad and i think no money in the world will make up for what she misses but the husband doesn’t realize it. He would rather have those extra luxries.

well, what is the girl doing at home? is she a mom who looks after the kids..?
cause i mean when you're still just a couple, no kids, it does get pretty boring being at home all day. i mean how much mess can two people make? and i mean it doesn't always have to be work. it could be going back to school, volunteering at the hospital, helping out at the old folks' home..money doesn't have to be necessarily tied into it.
but ultimately is should be the choice of the girl, i believe. don't know why she would want to sit at home though..but hey, it's your life.

Either way, people need to be honest about their expectations before making a commitment to the marriage.
What's inappropriate is forcing your spouse into a role (housewife/husband or working woman/man) after the commitment has been made.

joke aside: well this is the reason a lot of pepz get an arranged marriage, so u wont be able to c this kinda issue rissing there. Pepz in arranged marriages decide all of this stuff before gettin into a marriage, well even in love marriages too.
So the best thing would be to talk to the guy about it before marriage.
