Firstly, abstinence is not really an option for a married women. Second, birth control can fail. Many women choose not to go on the pill, IUD’s etc. due to side effects or whatever and only use a condom…which can easily break or not prevent ALL the semen from leaking out. That being said…
I’m not discussing whether this is right or wrong. You initial statement was that you did not understand why a woman would choose abortion when plenty of other women are dying to get pregnant. I simply pointed out the reason behind it. Whether its a woman who used birth control that failed and led to pregnancy…or a woman that chose to have careless sex…in either scenario, these women are not as emotionally attached to the idea of having a biological child as other women who are dying to get pregnant. Whatever their reasons for abortion may be…whether your think its right or wrong…at the end, those priorities outweigh the priority of giving birth to those women…at least at that point in their lives when they’re having the abortion.
