When did we start thinking in English?

I was talking to my aunty and I told her " Mein paanch baje khatam hoti hoon" meaning I get done at 5

I think my sister is worse:

Once she called a desi uncle for alternation who happens to work from home and she asked him.

“App Kab Band Hotay hein”

other way around is even better. Other day one of my friends was translating "Bhai sahab aakhir chakar kya hay" as:

Dude this is like so embarassing but one time I was at this Aunty's house (we were invited over for dinner) and the Aunty is like "lo beta apni plate aagey karro thaake mein yeh chicken saalan daaloon" and i'm like "nahi nahi aunty! plate mein kamra nahi hay!"

and then all the uncles/aunties started laughing at me. :(
well I was trying to say "there's no room in my plate!" but i guess it sounds silly if you say that in Urdu...
