I suppose he should have sipped wine and spoken trash like the intellectual giants across the border, or apologized for other cheats. Complete denial is the only way to answer persistent questioning by the media. Anything else, including “No comments” or “I have heard of this or seen that” from tendulkars mouth would light a wildfire of rumor and suspicion that would be impossible to extinguish. Similar questions have been posed to cricketers the world over. All of them have denied having seeing anything other than the “clean by DNA” cricketers of Australia. Honest speak should be in front of the boards or to investigative agencies and not to the media which has its own axe to grind.
