Its also common in Sindhis, but I don't remember specific name of this tradition in Sindhi

I don’t know which one you are talking about.There is one called nanki shak in which clothes and other stuff comes from nanihyal not only for the bride but for whole family.

Dhaaj , Dahej, Jahez are all varient of each others. They are all Hindi words.. No equal Persian / Arabic words for dowry in Urdu.
