Now i wonder from where this stereotype has originated?. I read some urdu children stories in childhood in a pathan kidnaps kid in bori and sell him to some slave labour. If pashtuns were really into this business, why most of the chowkidaars of the houses are pashtuns?. A pashtun in lahore told me that he was felt very offended when the mother of his friend told her younger sons not to lurk around the pathan.
I have heard these stereotypes in my childhood. Not so common nowadays. The people used to stereotype people from FATA, which until recently used to be called allaqa e ghair.
