Taking this analogy further - that would mean that you believe you’re entitled to ask each and every person who sits next to you, whether it be on the train, at work, at the masjid or any other place how often they’ve showered.
Or would the question only be reserved to those whose showering habits impacted you, i.e. - only the stinky people who making breathing or inhaling a challenge.
