What do you put on your burgers?

We’re having burgers for dinner tonight, I know my hubby will have them as he always does - plain. The burger in a bun with onions. I on the other had have gherkins, ketchup, onions, mustard, cheese.

So I wondered how do you like yours?

Re: What do you put on your burgers?

Mayooooooooooo

Re: What do you put on your burgers?

mustard , mayo & a slice of cheese

and yes tomatoes

Re: What do you put on your burgers?

simply slice of cheeze..........

Re: What do you put on your burgers?

Cheese (lots), mayo (lots), pickle, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapenos (weird combo I know)... and then I spend the next week in the gym working off all that mayo and cheese!! :(

Re: What do you put on your burgers?

LOTS of mayo and some iceberg lettuce, goes on while burger still hot so it wilts a bit.

Re: What do you put on your burgers?

Interesting.

I've never tried lettuce or jalepenos on a burger - will give that a go.

Do you fry or grill your burgers?

Mature cheddar, tomatoes, cucumber, cheese coleslaw yum and if I’m having one of my weird craving moments, perhaps some crunchy peanut butter too :cb:

Love gherkins and jalapenos but I don’t add that to the above combination !

Re: What do you put on your burgers?

Grill .... might as well be a little healthy!! (and save those extra calories for the cheeeeese and mayo) :) :)

Cheesy coleslaw… yummmmmmmmmm

Daddy’s Girl, have you tried M&S cheese and tomato roll with cheesy coleslaw and salt & vinegar crisps? :yummy: you can’t have it everyday though!

Depends on how frequently you have the burgers…I have both fried or grilled bean burgers!

Re: What do you put on your burgers?

combo of some of the below ...

caramelized onions
thousand island dressing
tomatoes
teeny bit mustard and ketchup
2 little slices pickle
Romaine lettuce

Re: What do you put on your burgers?

I like lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, ketchup, mayo and relish.

Now I'm craving a burger :D

I like everything on it!

Here's my list:

Lettuce (iceberg), tomato, onions, relish, mustard, ketchup, mayo, hot peppers, cheddar cheese and a pickle on the side.

My hamburger is a meal unto itself!

Now you have me craving a burger … and I can’t stand the smell of meat/chicken these days :cryb:

Re: What do you put on your burgers?

cheese

light shredded lettuce - has to be shredded

mayo

mustard

relish

potato chips

I believe that a sandwich (and yes, a burger is a type of sandwich) ain't a sandwich if it don't have tomatoes, cheese, or condiments (I love mayo, or mustard, or ketchup, or guacamole).

On my hamburger (if it's a beef one), I like a cheddar cheese single, some relish, a juicy tomato, ketchup, and mustard.

If it's a chicken burger, I like mayo (garlic mayo is YUM or even tartar sauce)....cheese.....finely chopped lettuce.....and a tomato.

Re: What do you put on your burgers?

Some interesting combo's here I may try something new tonight...but what?!

Right now I'n thinking:

Mature cheddar (have to have cheese)
Ketchup
Shredded lettuce
Jalepenos
Gherkins/pickle

Just mayo? No cheese? I can’t imagine a burger without cheese.

I’m not sure I like tomatoes in a burger, I always end up picking them out which is weird as I’ll quite happily eat them like an apple - messy though.

Any paticular kind?

That sounds good!!!

Hmm not sure about the wilted lettuce, I think I’d prefer it to have a crunch.

I read peanut butter and thought ewww, but actually I’ve had it on a chicken burger - that was goood! Would you have peanut butter on a lamb/beef burger?

Yes agree on the grill - but more for flavour. I don’t like greasy burgers.

I love cheese coleslaw! I love cheese ANYTHING!

Good suggestions there!! I shall experiment.

Don’t the ketchup and relish cancel each other out?

How do you hold it together with so much sauce? I’d make a right mess.

How about a veggie burger?

Chips in the burger? Or on the side? Why shredded lettuce, and not just a leaf?

Guacamole - must try that. Sadly none at home tonight. How do you make tartar sauce?

Re: What do you put on your burgers?

I normally bake my chicken in order to avoid excess oil. I like adding mustard and kepchup, tomato and lettuce. I like a bit of mayo too but avoiding it due to pregnancy.
