And they are increasig by the day:bummer:..Lucky us …just in time for Summer…
So what do you guysdo or have started doing because of the gas prices?:faizy:

Anything small…like I put my car in nuetral on red light. I also sometimes do not speed up quicker as I used to because I have read that increases the fuel consumption.

Please donot tell me that you have tried or put the nail polish remover in your gas tank to increase the fuel mileage:smack:..A big time No No!!:nono:

Is that something that you didnt used to do?

I have started parking my car way in one end of the University’s parking lot and then taking a bus rather then wait for parking with a car on which could talke well upto 30 minutes:bummer:

We got a gas kit put in our car (even got most of the money back as the government was offering a rebate), so now I only drive on petrol once a weel :D

u know what, last time we were in Brunie, it costed us more to buy a litre of bottled water then it did to get petrol :hayaa:

Interesting because as much as I hate the increasing prices, I go ahead and fill up my car's tank right away :(

By the way, we currently have a poll along the same lines here which is going to close in next 10 hours.

I don’t drive much so on average I m consuming around 100-150 euro/pm ......... its Alrite I guess...

Here in the UAE the gas price at the stations has never changed since I moved to Dubai almost 2 years ago. Apparently the "World Oil Price" doesn't affect oil producing countries locally.

I followed the usual advise anyways i.e. no unnecessary stuff in the car, keep maintenance current, tire pressure right etc.

just combining trips, so instead of several small trips to get this or that, we would cpombine trips, pick up stuff on the way to or way back from work.

I am also working from home every Friday now. thats a 20% savings in commute costs right away

Those are good pieces of advice. I keep extra things out of my car too.

The combining trips is what I need to work on and so does my husband.
