Well I agree that it can only be released by eliminating its cause. but isnt there any thing we can do to decrease the intensity other than drugs plz. just to be strong untill the source has been abolished.

Laugh, clown it up, go out for dinner with friends and put on my russian accent for the waiter....this Thursday hopefully.

Depends how stressed I am. If I'm pretty stressed, I plug into my computer.

If I'm up-against-the-wall stressed (last time was during my university exam days), I pray extra and read the Quran. That's always calmed me down no matter how bad things get.

watch a movie. go to the gym. hit something.

Usually playing racquet ball is a good idea ... I mean what better than pounding the ball on the front wall?!

The solution of all my problems is hidden in a good sleep. Thanx to Allah that i am lucky in this thing. Normally in exams its kinda disturbing but in rest of the situations like stress, tension, etc etc.. i do sleep comfortably (almost)!

i usually log on to GS, sign onto msn, or go to sleep

i have two close friends whom i used to talk to abt stuff in person as well to get it off my heart n it used to help a lot but they r in the other corner of the world now...sigh

listening to sad songs n crying my eyes out until i have no energy or will left n then just putting everything in the world on hold no matter what n going to sleep...

Xara Well, I used to listen Yanni or Kenny G when ever I feel stressed but it dosent seem to work anymore for me :frowning:

Now I start playing some game like Unreal or Quake full of killing n stuff :devil:

mAd_ScIeNtIsT ummm, dont do it really, may be I should. but sometimes I just burst open talk to Allah Mian, cry my eyes out so much tht it hurts, n see my tension going out with the flow of tears. and then I calm down and feel lighter than ever, get a very good sleep. but it doesnt happen often :frowning:

irem same here, my best buddies are not here :crying: though they come online on msn and sometimes we talk on phone but ‘timings’ is a giant negative and we dont do it as much as we should.

PyariCgudia sometimes it work, but if the movie is boring it makes it even worst. yes I always found myself doing extra weights when i am stressed.

Long drives.

Talk to myself, sometimes in an audible tone, and that helps a lot as well, for some reason.

Looking at nature and seeing its simplicity. That helps too.

I actually follow the policy of: Life is a bitch and then you marry one.

Someone told me to go for a long drive to release stress. I was stressed and driving - ended up getting into an auto accident. Got more stressed.

Please don't stress and drive.

Kinda meditate...

I lay in bed right before falling asleep and talk to Allah mian.. tell him all that I did right and wrong.. ask questions and all.

This way.. I prevent myself from doing anythig bad during the day because I have to tell Allah mian about it... Just makes me more conx.

My ammi jaan read this in a magazine.. it really does help/

I think it depends on intensity and type of stress. Probably not something I would do in Pakistan, with the driving there.
