How do you spend your day off/ How do you plan to spend your day?

Usually its a day off work, family round, mega lunch, old stories… :smiley:

Dress up and eat, then sleep some and repeat :D

Usually thats how it goes .

Namaz → Japhiaan → khana peena → online checking stuff → eat a bit more → sleep :yawn:

some pointers about what to do on eid for those like me with no family and friends:

  • spend time at local orphanage/hospital
  • watch previous episodes of lost and 24
  • treat yourself to a nice dinner
  • take extra responsibility at office so no time off on eid day
  • camping trip to a remote location...

walk into masjid-> find out all the big hipped ladies have hogged the space-> get late for namaz-> awkward hugs and greetings from strangers-> go home ->watch t.v in oversized tee and pjs. c'est la vie.

This year's plan was:
Namaz
inlaws' for breakfast
Family friends' for brunch
Parents' for lunch
Family friends' for tea
Family friends' for dinner

Needless to say, we didn't quite make it everywhere. But still had a fun (and exhausting) day.

Got up at 6 am and left for school at 7am. Got there at 8am since it takes one hour on public transit.
(Couldn't make it to Eid namaz since it was at 7:30)

Came home at 5pm. Went to some aunty's/khala (mom's friend) house and came back and then went to sleep.

That was my Eid!

I had fun, my best Eid ever, I came home drunk in a shopping trolley, woke up with a half eaten kebab and a traffic cone in my bed, just wishing I had a wife who would mop up the mess I made on the carpet.

eats and sleeps then eats and sleeps again and I never eat alone on eid.
