personal opinion - everyone will have their own

Picture quality is killing the look and making it look gawky ... maybe it would look better if all the silver going on is reduced and its either golden or silver .. looking elegant nowadays is a challenge not many brides are able to pull off ... so reducing the kaam on it might help - dont like the neck so that should be changed .. but overall I think this is a 50 50 .. some aspects of this dress are nice and some not-so-nice ... :) .. its a semi-traditional but modern look which doesnt make sense and will leave the person who wears it hanging in the middle.

love the bootis and the stem like figures on the sides and the bottom main kaam on it ... iv seen nicer velvet borders so a little help there might be wonders for the dress

The neckline is the only thing I don't like. Apart from that I bet this would look really lovely on.

neckline is so not bridal :( my friend just had to wear this gala on her walima a few days ago, she was about to cry.

i think the quality of kaam is not good including the minor details...however it is an outfit which when wore wl look nice and also in pix, it wl come out nice!

Not a fan of the v-shaped neckline, but overall it seems nice. Is it a Nickie Nina outfit?

I think it's nice. However, I agree with the rest about the neckline. It's not very bridal, and lacking something which I can't really pinpoint. I don't think more work on the neckline will sort it out either. Maybe it's the shape. Also I'm not fond of the work on the sides either, it looks scrawly.

Other than that, I do like the colour and the way it falls.

neckline like everyone said.... I would remove the huge motif on the middle panel along the daaman because it wont look very nice when the bride sits..and the lehnga needs light just-sequins spray !

Wow thanks! All these points mentioned is what we're not liking as well. The gala shape will be round and at a point (v-goal) I believe. The blob looking motifs will be a more intricate design so it will look a lot better.

Aside from that, the picture is from a crappy phone camera so it doesn't do much justice to the actual design.

What do you all think about changing the borderline to green (the jamawar piping)? The zevar has red, gold, and a hint of green and is a mix of antique, white, and yellow gold...and we can't seem to figure out how to incorporate that into the dress. So based on the zevar, the kaam colors fit perfectly but very confused on where to throw in some green.

does having too big of a dupatta border play into trouble with updo? also whats the verdict on one sided border or all 4 sides
