^ I understand what people mean when they post pictures and ask others not to quote them because they plan to remove those later on. What I didn’t entirely understand is when people ask posters not to quote a regular post without pictures.
I’m under the impression that some people view being quoted as “offensive” or as a negative thing. I remember a post a couple of months back where someone quoted a post and went on to respectfully explain why they disagreed with said post and the person being quoted replied with something along the lines of “I’m just giving my opinion. There is no need to quote me.” I’ve noticed that a couple of times.
To answer Mezhghan’s question, quoting Southie’s fine point may be disagreeable for Southie because maybe I haven’t grasped how fine a point it was. Was it a point made with a finetip pen or a widetip point? Quotations taken out of context, especially Southie’s could lead to circular or pointless debate.
It is weird. Southie is usually very careful when he is even joking around. Don’t know what happened but his comment just rubbed me the wrong way. Something seems very insulting about his comment. Maybe Southie can explain?
